Edgewater Casino to be Purchased by Paragon Gaming

A Las Vegas casino operator, Paragon Gaming, might purchase the Edgewater casino in Vancouver, Canada.

Paragon Gaming is considering the purchase of Edgewater. Edgewater is up for sale after facing huge losses.

If the purchase goes through it will be the first time that an American casino firm will own a Canadian casino.

The owner of Sahara Hotel and co-founder of Circus Circus, famous American casino operator William Bennett, is reportedly to have connections to the deal.

The land based casinos in Canada is run by Native Canadians with the Canadian government approval, but this will all change if the deal goes through.

The gambling industry in Canada has a large number of land based casinos, but not all the casinos are profitable. It is reported that the land based casinos in Canada have suffered a fall in revenues as the online casinos are taking the lead over the land base casinos.

If Paragon Gaming takes over the Edgewater Casino it will save it from the creditors who are already looking at possible future options as they wait to take over the facility.

Without the renewed profits, the Edgewater casino might become a victim to the creditors.
